Major League Angels’ Shohei Otani was out of the starting lineup in the 4th game against the Astros and did not participate as a pinch hitter.
It’s the fifth time this season that Ohtani hasn’t played a game.
Otani came into the game against the Astros the day before with a double pitching and batting mania, and although he pitched and kept 1 in the 8th inning, he did not bat in 4 at bats as a batter, and the Angels won the game in the 12th inning.
The next day, the 4th, in the game against the Astros at home base Anaheim, Otani was pulled from the starting lineup and didn’t appear as a pinch hitter.
It’s the fifth time this season that Otani has been out of the game since the 8th of last month.
In the game, the Angels took a big lead early on and lost 1–9.
