The Gloire series specially designed for Japanese golfers has undergone a model change! It will be presented as “Stealth Gloire”. Speaking of stealth, the carbon face is the best feature. Sure, “Glore Stealth PilotA carbon face has also been adopted!
[Tsuru]
predecessor’Glory SIM Driver‘ was so well received that I thought they wouldn’t use a carbon face for the new model, but TaylorMade did (laughs). The surface of the face is dark gray in color, which gives it a calmer atmosphere than the existing “Stealth” series. In terms of design, it also has a typical Glory luxury feel. I can’t wait to try it out to see how it performs!
[Hossy]
The carbon face used is equivalent to that used in the “Stealth”. Although the face weight is 40% lighter than the conventional model, the face area would be 10% higher. In other words, it is more tolerant than its predecessor.

The previous “SIM Gloire” had a round head, but the shape of the head is a bit closer to a pear shape. The angle of the face is almost square. This may seem open to some people. However, the Gloire-like feeling of verticality is still alive. There is an atmosphere that seems easy to catch the ball.
[Hossy]
The projected area is not too large, and the two-tone color passed down from the past is very easy for me personally. The standard shaft is the manufacturer’s original specification of Fujikura’s “Speeder NX”. It’s a long intro, but Tsuru-san, please try it!
[Tsuru]
Feel good! It has a “wetter feeling” than the existing “Stealth” series, and you can have the feeling of pushing the ball with your face. Face material and feel are not necessarily equal, and in this “Stealth Glory” even the feel is well built. As for the trajectory, the ball holds better than I imagined when setting it up. Even a ball that I thought was a push slice turned out to be a straight draw. It is a completely drawn bias design pattern.
[Hossy]
It’s a model that seems easy to use for golfers who make pushing mistakes. What bothered me was the amount of effects. When I hit it, it never dropped below 3000 rpm.
[Tsuru]
The amount of rotation varies depending on the shaft installed, but the performance of the head itself doesn’t seem to be that low. It has a medium rotation performance which can produce a stable port, and in fact, the previous “Glory SIM” was the same. The height of the balloon does not change much from the previous one, so I think it is easy to replace the previous one.
[Hossy]
I also feel the great tolerance that the muzzle velocity of the bullet does not decrease even if the core is removed. It seems to be addictive for those who tend to hit the ball easily, those who have slow head speed and struggle to lift the ball, and those who fall when using a low spin driver. As a draw bias design pattern, “Stealth Pilot HDis also available, so it looks like some people will get confused between the two models.
[Tsuru]
The resulting trajectory is similar, but the weight in your hand and the feel when you actually swing the club are very different. “Stealth Glory” is easier to navigate. If you’re a power gamer, I think Stealth HD will give you a more responsive feel. If you compare the standard S flex of the shaft, the head speed of 42m/s will be the dividing line.
[Hossy]
In this series, as a limited TaylorMade Select Fit Store model, the head can be attached and detached.Glory Plus Stealth Pilotwill also be on sale. It looks like there will be more attention from golfers.
[Tsuru]
Even if the knock function is installed, the basic performance of the head will not change significantly. Based on this, I think it will be an attractive model for those who want to try a handle with a handy sleeve, or for those who want to adjust the angle of the head.
