Japan will welcome war-stricken Ukraine’s participation in two international beach soccer friendlies in October, the Japan Football Federation announced on Wednesday. The matches on October 1 and 2 will be held in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, western Japan, with the JFA providing travel and accommodation for the Ukrainian team. Admission to matches at Okura Beach will be free and the JFA invites Ukrainian refugees from Japan from the Russian invasion to attend. Ukraine has struggled to continue its football activities and the JFA is proposing that the country’s football and futsal teams also organize matches or training sessions…
