The owner of a popular Japanese restaurant in Osaka has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a female customer by making her drink alcohol containing sleeping pills, investigative sources say.

According to investigative sources, Masaya Enomoto (46), the owner of a Japanese restaurant in Ebimoto-cho, Naniwa-ku, Osaka, has been arrested and charged. He is accused of sexually assaulting the two in the store after making them drink alcohol containing sleeping pills to make them unable to resist.
Police who received the damage report investigated and the Osaka District Public Prosecutor’s Office charged two cases last month (August).
The restaurant has been awarded one star in the International Restaurant Guide.
