[ロンドン 9日 ロイター] – Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova warned on Monday that the plan to impose a Russian oil price cap agreed by the Group of Seven (G7) countries would fail and ultimately destabilize the United States and their allies.

Zakharova said Western countries do not understand how the cap will ultimately affect them. “Capping the price of Russia’s energy resources would put Russia back on its feet,” he said.

Commons Speaker Borozin said he believed the Western plan had failed and oil prices would be well above the ceiling.

“What G7 officials call the ‘top’ of the price will be the ‘bottom’.
