Baseball: Kondo Circuit beats Lions as last-place fighters play spoiler


Kensuke Kondo hit a game-breaking 10th-inning homer to lift the last-placed Nippon Ham Fighters to a 2-1 Pacific League victory over the contending Seibu Lions on Saturday. Before 27,516 at the Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture outside Tokyo, Kondo homered with two out against Seibu’s fifth pitcher, Tatsushi Masuda (2-4).
