Pyongyang (AFP) – North Korea has denied allegations of arms exports to Russia during its invasion of Ukraine.
“North Korea has never exported arms or ammunition to Russia and has no plans to do so in the future,” a senior Defense Ministry official said, according to the Central Intelligence Agency. Korean press (KCNA).
The White House said earlier this month that Russia was seeking to buy large quantities of artillery and rockets from North Korea to replenish munitions it had spent fighting in Ukraine.
The official accused “hostile forces” such as the United States of spreading “rumors of arms deals” with Russia. He warned the United States to stop bringing charges. At the same time, he stressed that North Korea has the right to export military equipment. (c) ATP
