(Reuters) – Australian tennis player Dahlia Saville said on Wednesday she suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during a match against Naomi Osaka.

Saville withdrew due to injury during her match against Osaka in the first round of women’s singles at the Toray Pan Pacific Open on the 20th. After undergoing an MRI scan on the 21st, it was revealed that the anterior cruciate ligament was torn for the second time after 2013.

“Don’t worry about me. Sorry to worry guys,” Savile tweeted. During the match, he injured himself while hitting a forehand and shouted “My knee”.

“I was really scared,” Osaka said after the game.

Saville was known as Daria Gavrilova until she married male player Luke Saville last year.
